Entry 8: How useful/effective are online self-assessment tests


  Online self-assessments are online tests conducted with the purpose of evaluating, measuring and learning progress, skill acquisition. The use of online self-assessment tests save the student’s time and money. These kinds of tests can be done in less time.

While many people the usefulness of online self-assessment tests, these questionnaires are tools that can help us gain information about ourselves that can provide a sense of direction you may feel you lack.
There are numerous types of self-assessment tests available online, yet some of the most informative kinds are Personality Tests, Skills Based Tests, Aptitude Tests and Interest Inventories. In our ICT lessons we tried these tests that is Skills Based Tests such as Oxford Online English test, Cambridge English Learning Assesment

Entry 2: My computer skills: Strengths and weaknesses

             During two  terms we learned Information technology so we can examine our IT skills. In my humble opinion, now I have enough knowledge to work with new technologies. Because I can use Microsoft programs without any difficulties. Also I know computer’s keyboard’s ability, that’s why I can easily use them depending on their functions. Furthermore, I know exactly working with computer’s additional tools, how they join together, give what kind of opportunities  and so on. And I can make any kind of tests, questions , as well as e-books  using iSpring program. Nevertheless, I have  some weaknesses with IT which I sometimes face when doing lessons. Entry 4: Am I slow or fast reader? (based on internet offered tests results)

      http://www.readingsoft.com /     I consider myself as a fast reader according to my online test results.       Usually, fasters are considered as   readers 400 or 500 words in one minute. To my mind, there are many pros of being fast reader for myself  in order to manage the given time for doing the test. For instance, after completing to read the question quickly, I have enough time to analyze it and find the correct answer connecting with other materials which explain the given issue. Firstly, organizing the time  properly I answered known questions so that I will have enough time to think about difficult ones. Moreover, these following things which I typically do help me to achieve high results:  -  to pay attention the purpose of the question; -  to understand  its main idea, look for; -  to underline key words , basic details.
